Hi,

I am just wondering what the operating temps are for a MacBook Pro 15 2016 touchbar (radeon 460)
I am just doing some browsing in MacOS with tabs open and the die temp is 74 degrees Celsius (iStat CPU Die).
That seems quite high to me. Should I be worried?

Thanks

Is this with the HD 530 or the Pro 460 active? Any external monitors connected?
It really won't start ramping up the fans till you get to 90c so idle temps are a bit high, but nothing to be worried about.

not sure if the dGPU is active... no external monitors connected. I will check what the temps are with nothing running.

I'm using iStat Die temp, but it defaults to Proximity... maybe I should be checking that value instead...
I am curious what other people are getting.

When I try Windows 10 bootcamp the temps are even higher, it's like the fans are not reacting the same way as in MacOS. They are ramping up, but it's like they are doing so at even higher temps.

That seems a little warm, my 2012 rMBP runs in the 30 to 40c range. I think the newer chips may run hotter but that does seem a bit too warm
