I've just recently upgraded from Lion to El Capitan and noticed a change in the management of tabs & bookmarks in Safari. Can't seem to find info on this in the Apple help pages.

Previously I could group several bookmarks in a folder and set it up to open all of these in tabs with a single click of the folder. Then, if I only wanted to open one of them instead of all, I could do an option-click on the bookmark I wanted. I liked this flexibility. The folders set up this way had a "square" icon in the menu bar.

I can't get the option-click to work in Safari 9. All of the bookmarks now open at once with the option-click, although the square icon still shows.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this with the current Safari ? Thanks!
