Sadly my 30" monitor has died. It has served me well. It is out of warranty and so out of desperation (and curiosity) I want to tear it apart. I feel pretty comfortable with this but i must admit, most all of the operations were on toys that had screws and did not require suction cups to take things apart. I can find tear downs of the new imacs and all of the powerbooks but no 30" displays. on the internet anywhere. So the best that i have come up with is to use suction cups to remove the small white panels on the sides. Does any one have any pointers or any service repair manuals or any URLS to online tear downs? Thanks in advance.

It died? Is this normal for the 30" or just a stroke of bad luck? I still have a couple of LCD monitors back from 2002 that work great today.

Thinking of getting one of these 30" ACDs but this thread is shaking my confidence.
