I was wondering how some of you organize your iTunes albums with different artists. More specifically, how do you organize soundtracks from a musical or movie/tv show where the characters sing. Examples include the musical RENT, Sweeney Todd, Wicked, Moulin Rouge!, etc... Do you list the artist as the singer/actor who sings the songs, their respective characters, or do you have some other method of organization? This is one of the only problems I haven't been able to solve regarding the organization of my iTunes library. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

you could always organize it by album or make the album artist the same (the soundtrack name or something) along with labeling the other artist category with the actual artist. Sometimes i just put the artist with the song title also.

I do it by the actor/singer, as theoretically I could have multiple recordings of the show by different casts. For the Album Artist I usually do "Original London Cast" or whatever.
