I've had my phone for about and hour and I think the reception is worse than the previous one even when I'm not holding it. Thoughts anyone?

Maybe something is wrong with your iphone 4, because I get full bars at home compared to my old 2g Iphone which used to get 2 bars.

I get full bars, 3G....but data usually doesn't load or slows to a halt until I reboot.

...then it's fine for a bit and it starts degrading again.

Holding it or sitting it on my desk or in my pocket, I usually have 4 or 5 bars.

That goes for my departed 3G and my 4.

I AM dropping calls A LOT LESS with the iPhone 4! I used to drop calls all the time with my girlfriend, who has a 3GS, but since getting the 4, I haven't had any issues.

Well I use it with Bluetooth in the car. My usual dead zones are now longer than they used to be. I would say most are about 3 times longer while driving. Also, when I put my iPad with 3G next to my iphone4 they have totally different reception levels. The iPad has 5 and my phone has 2 typically.
