Hey guys,

I currently own this (JVC GR-D728EK) camcorder.

My local shop is currently selling this (Sony DCR-PC55E) camera (new) at a clearance price of £50.

Which is best if I decided to buy one and sell the other on?

One major advantage is the Sony has DV in, but in terms of image quality, I would like to know what people think.

Anyone?

I would really appreciate any opinions about this.

Thanks,
David

Hi again David,

I would have paused longer had I not seen the price. At £50 the Sony is a steal. From what I can see, the zoom on the JVC is better - would you be getting rid of the JVC? (if so PM me :))

It's a hard one to call, but it does seem to be an upgrade of sorts. Maybe a camera-techno-guy (or girl) can chime in with some geekier stats.

Good luck in deciding, although I would just scoop it up!

Thanks very much for your input Martin. I think the Sony is a good price also, but just don't know how it compares to what I have in terms of video quality.

If I sell the JVC, I will certainly let you know.

Any other input folks?

David
