Hi guys.

So Im about to install my 1TB Samsung HDD in the optibay but I dont know what to put inside.

I did a time machine back up on it so i can access it through but is there a easier way?

On the main bay, I have a Crucial M4 SSD.
On the second bay, the HDD, suppose to be data only.

Can I just have time machine back up so I can access my data later or is there a way to set up the HDD for data only?

Edit never mind I'm retarded, you could just set time machine to backup to that drive, i guess if you had a 3rd external hard drive you could raid 1 the drives to mirror what happens on 1. But raiding wipes out everthing, so you'd need that 3rd external to restore from time machine.

Nvm, what I did was copy the whole user folder to the 1TB.
Thats where I storage data now.

Also, I talked to Apple and installing TimeMachine BU is a bad idea since TM has a special format that doesn't allow you to edit the inside of the back up unless communicated by TM again.

Its really stupid but since I can't use TM, I have to copy my user folder.

I just did a fresh install from the original Macbook hard drive that came from the factory by the Lion Recovery partition.
