I have on order a Crucial M4 128gb to replace the existing 320gb in my mid 2010 core i5 MBP. I have also ordered the Fenvi optibay replacement.

Currently i have my 320gb partioned as 250gb for Lion osx and 60gb for Windows 7 Bootcamp. Ideally i just want to keep the 250gb for my storage: mp3, photos, movies etc and also keep my Bootcamp.

I want to check if i can boot from USB and new install Lion straight onto my SSD and then have access to my old Lion install/files and also my Bootcamp.
Or is it much more complicated then that?

You should be able to boot easily from USB to install Lion. That shouldn't be a problem.
