I hardly use my optical drive, so I have no idea how long this has been a thing. But earlier this week, I had trouble getting a DVD to go into my optical drive. I had to push the thing in just about all the way before the drive would suck it in and lock it.

Now, it's worse. I just tried to put a DVD in and it feels like whatever is in there that holds the center of the disc is blocking a full insertion. I'm forcing it in there about as hard as I think I can without breaking either the drive or disc, and it's just not gonna go in.

I have never come across this problem before between about 7 different Macs either I or my relatives have owned. Is this probably a faulty drive? I just bought the thing in November so it's still under warranty. I'm assuming the best option is to take it to the Genius Bar, but I was wanting to see if anybody had another fix-it because lugging this thing through the mall is quite a darn workout.
