My wife has an older macbook 13.3 and the cd drive no longer works. If you bump the laptop just a little it makes the ejecting noise, and sometimes makes the noise for no reason at all. It will not read discs at all. Where is the best place to buy a new drive, and is there any way to fix this one?!?

Take it in to an authorized apple store or a computer store that will fix computers. A repair will not be cheap (Over $300 possibly).

You could of course repair it yourself. Take a look at this link:

You solution is to visit MacSales.com and (1) find their replacement drives ($100 to $110, depending on software bundle) and (2) watch their very nice video walk-through on replacing it.

Prices look to range from $150 to $160.
