Hi again,

I will have a optical drive replacement confirmed on the phone with the apple care, but worried about always having something else going wrong when having repairs.

is OD replacement an easy process?
I am around London is there a service provider you would suggest I should go, or would any of the apple stores be just fine?

and - thanks for the answer to my previous question, they are replacing the battery.

Apple Store Regent Street, also Cancom in Kensington are an authorised Apple repair centre but you can't book stuff in over the weekend. You're probably best off going to Regent St.

Make sure you've done a full backup of your data before taking it in, if you're worried about anything going wrong!

Thanks,

is a problem on Optical Drive an urgent one? would it damage or effect other issues on the MBP?

the problem is with backing up of course due to the problem I have with OD, DVD burner does not work. I need to figure out ways to transfer and back up really big work files i have :(

regent it is, will try to do a week day trip.
B
