The photo I've attached is of the Super Drive that is now compatible for MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros with Retina and Mac Minis, meaning the regular MacBook pros still have an optical drive, but does this mean that the iMac will still have an optical drive, because it doesn't mention the imac???

It doesn't mean anything because they can update the description whenever a new product is added that would use it.
