Any suggestion ? I know there's been quite a lot of threads about what kind of optical drive is better for the new iMac, but nobody can tell me if there's a USB 3.0 or thunderbolt optical drive (CD or BD) and if it's really gonna be better than normal USB 2.0 drives ...

USB 2.0 is more than adequate for optical drives

The read/write speed of the optical component is the bottle neck, not the I/O

it will not be faster than usb... data rates on optical drives are slower than what usb2.0 provides... maybe if you had multiple devices on a USB hub saturating the bus, but that is doubtul... for the cost difference between usb2 and usb3.0 drives (and Thunderbolt) you probably wont see any gain...
