I was curious if the new iPhone 3G implements the same optical-grade glass as is found on the 1st gen iPhone. Have any upgraders noticed a difference in screen quality/experience?

On a side note:
When comparing the screen of my 1st gen iPhone to my nephew's iPod Touch, the Touch's screen seemed of less quality (fingers didn't glide across the screen with the same ease).

Looks and feels just like my old iPhones.
