Hello,
I am wanting to connect my macbook pro to a recording interface via ADAT over an optical Toslink connection, however, from what I've read on here it looks like that is not possible as the MBP does not natively recognize ADAT data on the optical connection, only S/PDIF.

A small ray of hope comes in the form of this thread; https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/196590/ which claims that people can write their own plugins and handle this data. I have looked around the web as best I can, however I cannot find any mention of plugins to buy, or opensource plugins others have written, etc.

Can someone point me in the direction of where I might be able to find such a thing? If all else fails, can someone point me to some proof at least that these plugins might exist?

Thank you!

I don't have an answer - but if you haven't already - post your question in the Logic Pro forum at Apple. There might be more of a 'digital audio recording' audience there that can help....
