I want to use an AppleTV as a headless music-only player for my stereo system. The speakers are Meridian digital-active speakers and thus have a single coaxial digital input only.

Right now I have a Squeezebox connected which works pretty well but the interface kinda sucks and I want to have full access to my music library (including the DRM stuff).

So I need suggestions for taking the Toslink Optical output of the ATV and converting it to the RCA Coaxial digital interface instead. Any first-hand recommendations?

I'm planning to use a dedicated iPod Touch as the interface for this new jukebox. Of course if I could figure out a way to do it with some sort of touchscreen that would be cooler... suggestions for that too?

Thanks!
