Optimised battery charging

Ever since upgrading to watch OS 7 I’ve regularly had issues where I go to use my watch after charging and only have very minimal battery life, as if it didn’t charge overnight. Anyone else experienced this?

Since disabling the optimised battery charging feature it seems to charge to 100% every time without fault.

My partner just got her first Apple Watch SE last week and was complaining of the same issue as well so hopefully disabling the feature works for her too.

Frustrating as the feature sounds great in theory

Interesting. I’ve not experienced this personally but my sister was complaining of the exact same thing to me. I just assumed it’s because she isn’t very technologically minded and was ‘charging it wrong’ 🤣

Apple issued a fix but you probably need to unpair yourself watch then pair it again. That’s what I did and it solved a few other bugs too.
