Does this help the battery? I dont think so...

I brought a used iPhone Pro Max 13 which was approx 9 months old and had 99% battery health. Since using optimised battery charging its down to 96% in 2 months... why? So 11 months old and now 96%. I used and charge my battery when it gets to just under 30% to 20%. Often charged in day time so charging stopped when full.

My Watch series 7 is new from Sept 5th and approx 2 months later it has 99% battery heath - bollshot! It was also on optimised battery charging. Mostly charged in day time and as soon as charged taken off charging and back on wrist.

M1 MacBook Air purchased Jan 2021 has either 86% or 82% battery health depending on apple or 3rd party. It dropped fast in the first year to below 90% and is now hanging around low 80's - used optimised battery charging....

I dont call this optimising battery health.

Whats peoples opinions on this? Better to just charge normally I think. Ive turned off optimised charging today. Im just an 'average' user - no weird usage or hot conditions etc.

It's difficult to say that what you're seeing is due to optimised charging being switched on.

I have it switched on. But, I religiously keep my iPhone 11 charged between 20 and 80%. 2.5 years old and a heavy user and battery health is 89%.

I’m having the same issue at the moment. Just got my 13 pro max in January and in the last 3 months my battery is down to 91%. Wondering what can be done at this point. I liked not having to charge my phone for a whole day.
