My 14" MacBook Pro with M1 Max always charges to 100% now, even though I have "Optimize Battery Charging" turned on. I believe this happened with the latest update to Sequoia 15.5.
I usually leave it plugged in when not using it because its power connection is also it's network connection (dock with 2.5G ethernet), and I sometimes need to access it remotely.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with M1 Max? Any ideas on how I can get Optimize Battery Charging to work correctly again?
I'm not loving keeping the battery at 100% constantly...80% seemed kinder to the chemistry. I tend to keep my systems for a long time (10+ years), and am used to having to replace the battery at 5 years, but don't want to rush it.
