So the Ultra is here since 23.9. and i charged it several times.
But the new Charge Limit Feature never worked and the watch only showed that it will load completely.

Does it work for anybody?

It takes some time to learn your charging behaviour before activating it. Same on iPhone!

Yes, I know, the new iPhone I got took exactly 14 days.
I have never seen the charging limit feature on the ultra working anywhere.
Don’t think it’s just 14 days, you probably have to charge it 14 times before it kicks in.

The watch has been out for just over two weeks and I doubt many would’ve charged it every night given the increased battery life.

Yes, mine works great!

A couple of days ago my watch started only charging to 80% as a battery saving feature. The text indicated that I need only touch the green charging symbol on the face of the watch if you want to bypass and charge to 100%.

I wish they had this same function on my iPhone 14 ProMax! I only use about 20% a day and this would be perfect!

I got my watch on introduction day and put it on the charger every night. This started happening a couple days ago.

I did not notice the message until last night when I put my Ultra on the charger.

It was next to useless on my S4 before I ditched Apple Watch. Even with an absolutely rigid overnight docking schedule, it would always fully charge at least four hours before I needed it. On top of that, if I ever had the temerity to alter my sleeping schedule by ten seconds, it would have a panic attack and then take weeks to re-enable itself.

I actually find this pretty typical of all Apple devices that support this feature. In my opinion it’s almost pointless based on my experiences with it. AlDente for Mac gets it right by allowing you to set your own limits and parameters, but Apple will never let its users think for themselves because, well, Apple 🍎
