Hi,
I've been reading about optimizing my Mac Pro for audio, and am having some trouble with finding the Processor Performance pop up in the Energy Saver tab under System Preferences.
This pop up is mentioned in the 'Help', and I've seen it talked about in several other threads here on Macrumors, but I don't have it anywhere.
I would appreciate any help in locating this pop-up, and also any suggestions for optimizing the Mac Pro for video use.
I'm running 10.4.9, Mac Pro 2.66, 5GB RAM, 1 x 250 GB system drive, 1 x 1TB Seagate Barracuda HD, 1 x 1TB WD HD (in an external enclosure). I bought this system specifically for audio recording (so far have only used Garage Band), and video editing (have plugged a mini DV camera in once). I probably have amassed about 10 hours working in Garage Band. The hard drives are totally empty apart from about 50 MB of Garage Band files.
Many thanks,
