Hey all
I'm using an eyetv 250 plus and am relatively new at the recording process. Right now, i'm recording at about 6gb/hour, but I have a few questions about ways to perfect my process.
1. My recordings are eating up drive space. Is it possible to have my 500GB external running and record my shows in an archive folder there so that they can be viewed in their full format by eyetv?
2. What are the best (custom or standard) settings to record highest quality tv on? I'm running a newer macbook pro...so I shouldn't have many cpu or processor limitations.
3. I have been converting many of my recorded shows to MPEG-4 with the H.264 codec. There is no loss in quality and the audio is synced perfectly which is great. Is there some way I can view and arrange these videos in the Recordings folder to replace the much larger original eyetv recordings?
If anyone could offer me some advice...I would much appreciate it!
cheers,
Judas
