Anyone using / can recommend a backlit scissor-action keyboard?
I use Keysonic backlit scissor-action keyboards on some of my systems which doesn't backlight the legends, but rather backlights the entire keyboard area and the keys are somewhat translucent. This might seem counterproductive but it works well in situations where the screen is throwing out decent amounts of light as it improves the contrast of the white legend of the keys. In such situations the Keysonic is actually more effective than the actually backlit Logitech G15 for example. Of course, actual key backlighting is better when there's little light coming from the screen - but I don't like the conventional feel of any of the backlit gaming-style keyboards.
I need to place a keyboard a slight distance away from the screen and it's in a low-light area. The Keysonic doesn't work in this respect so I need a really backlit-legend keyboard. But I can't find a scissor-action backlit-legend keyboard. Anyone have suggestions please? If no scissor-action options I'll just go with one of the gaming-style keyboards but I hate compromises.
