I'm buying a 13" MBP next week and I am soo excited!! My first Mac! Anyways, I'm getting Office for Mac, but I'm not going to have it til 2 weeks after I get my computer and I actually start an online class on Memorial Day.

I'm going to need Word, so just wondering what my options are for that? Is there a free version of Word, I feel like I heard that somewhere?

Check out openoffice.org. It can open Word files and save as a Word compatible docs. That should hold you until your copy of Office arrives.

You can download a 30 day trial of mac office from http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/office2008/trial-download.mspx which will keep you going until you get the full version!

But yeah also as suggested openoffice is also excellent, but if you are going to get the full version of office in a couple of weeks then you might as well just download the trial, knowing that any files you save will be 100% compatible!
