Optoma HD73 stopped working after LION

I have a Mac Pro (2008) with 6 gigs ram and 2 ATI Radeon HD 3870 cards. Until the Lion upgrade, I was using 3 monitors (a hodgepodge) and an Optoma HD73 projector, all was working fine. The Optoma was connected to the DVI-D port on one of the 3870 cards. Ever since Lion, the projector is detected and shows up on monitor preferences, but there is no picture.. nothing, it's although it's not connected although preferences says it is. I've tried all kinds of resolution settings and nothing. Otherwise, the projector works fine. Any ideas?
