Greetings, readers!

Here I was, minding my own business, thinking about "switching", when all of a sudden, my boss tells me I will join the Oracle developer team.

My heart is thorn: I wanted to buy my first *Book, and now maybe I won't be able to, because I do not know if I will be able to work on it.

So I guess my question is: what can an Oracle developer do in Mac OS X? I know Java devolping would be ok, but what about Forms? What about that JInitiator thingy that IE on Win2k downloads when accessing the applications?

Please excuse my lack of more professional terms: I am new to the world of Oracle.

I think it would depend on what kind of development you are going to be doing - Web vs. client server.

Remember, you have terminal, so you can do all the command line stuff you want. Oracle 9i and 10g run on OS X (server) and I would imagine its just a matter of time until the 10g developer tools are ported since they already run on linux and Solaris.

Good Luck to you.
