orange 3G

hi fist post (hi) just left o2 iphone 3G 1 year free internet run out,i never got 3G just round mark were the 3G should be buy the way what is that,anyway my mate got 3G everware on orange so i have gone to orange was on payasyougo now on orange and still dont get 3G my signal is much better on orange. i live in uk west sussex.any help would be nice thx

The little round simble is GPRS it's a very slow data connection.

You need to check that the Orange sim card is a 3G one, alot of Orange Pay&Go sim card are 2G one's meaning you wont get 3G signal.

Orange UK still use 2g sim cards, you need to phone them and ask them to send you a 3G one out.
