Orange calling customers about new iPhone model

one more news published on Yahoo News France : Orange is calling customers to offer them to exchange their current iPhone for a new model ; for customers not having an iPhone, they apparently propose the new model at a prefered price.

I'm slightly skeptical, as were they, of the authenticity of this rumor.... I have a hard time seeing an Orange executive having given the go-ahead for calling individual customers and making them offers on an unreleased product.
