My mom just told me about this.....she apparently was watching CNBC today and they were demoing an orange colored iPod phone....I asked her if it really was Apple and she said yes but I don't know because wouldn't it be on this site or something by now? I don't know. If anyone saw this or has deets about it, let me know!!!

Or maybe this?

Cause they would have never introduced something this big without a large amount of fanfare.

It could also be the new sony mylo...

Yeah... there's no orange iPod phone.

And Apple would probably NOT choose orange. Tangerine is SO 1997.

Yeah, I think she mixed the two up. And Madonna is SOOOO 1983. :D

Though Madonna does exist, so she has that going for her. :p

Everyone seems to want an iPod phone, but I get the feeling Apple knows better. As the definition and function of the iPod blurs (from music player to media device), one wonders if Apple wants to blur it further.

A Newton phone makes more sense, if you ask me. I mean, God. I don't want my mp3 player to be a phone. I'll keep my music off the grid, etc. But I would want a PDA that makes it easier to get in touch with/stay in touch with others. Here's hoping Apple understands what their latest ads so superficially intend -- the separation between work and play!

EDIT: On second thought, the separation between work and play is pretty much a fraud. But I still don't want my iPod to start ringing ...

i think it's a safe bet that an "ipod phone" would be on this sight WAYYY before it would be on CNBC

I was quoting a giant Madonna fan and poking a little bit of fun, if you noticed. Although I think it's ridiculous that she's trying to bring back 1983, as displayed in her Hung Up video. No hard feelings, Sam.

Yeah, everyone knows an iPod phone is basically inevitable as it's a pretty natural product to do after the iPod. It'd be nice to carry around my iPod phone instead of my iPod and my phone.

In terms of who's buying iPods, it's mostly younger people, such as myself, and kids won't want a PDA, except for college kids, like my amazingly busy sister, who has her hands superglued to her Treo.

You're right - as... erm... creative, as the video is - and as good as her figure is, can't say I love the outfit.
