iPad Pro Orange smudge on screen (15*5mm)

Hi,
my 2017 iPad Pro 10,5” developed this smudge over the last week. It is top right in landscape mode(shown), or a top left vertical stripe in landscape mode. It’s not hot or has not been bumped as far as I know. It is out of Apple care, so if it requires a screen replacement, it will have to remain as is.

Any ideas or possible fixes, please?

That looks like burn-in. Try waiting 24 hours to see if the issue goes away.
