I have had my MBP 15" for about a year and I have Applecare. Just today when I was on a white page I noticed that I had this orange tint on the bottom right of my screen. If I look at the spot on a black background, the spot is very white.

This is a sign of my display going bad or my GFX card? Should I send it into Apple? It's a little bothersome but I'm not sure if Apple would fix an issue like this...

More then likely the display.
Do you have any other issues with it?
I would get it checked out,Just a quick question is it a High res? High Res plus Antiglare or does it have the stock screen?

It's the high res one 1680x1050.

And no other issues!

I have the exact same problem (and the same 1600*1050 display)--the bottom edges and the bottom ~1cm of the screen are distinctly yellowish compared to the rest of the screen. I think I have discovered the cause: heat from the fans, which are directed right at the bottom corners of the screen. When performing really high-CPU tasks, my MBP can easily hit 95 deg C and the fans can hit 5000rpm. I think all that hot air must affect the LCD. I'm not sure what to do about it, however, as it is isn't particularly noticeable unless the screen is displaying a dark, solid color background.

That makes a lot of sense. I'm hoping if it's a design problem they either replace the computer or if not, just replace the display. Right now everytime I use it on a white background (macrumors/facebook/etc) I notice the orange tint even in daylight.

I guess I have to put everything back together (stock RAM, HDD, and place my ODD back) and send it to Apple... *sigh*

I've seen EXACTLY this, except on an iPhone 4 display.
It was a cheap LCD assembly I ordered off eBay to repair a cracked iPhone 4. After installation, I noticed the orangish tint in the corners. It was white when I turned the screen to an angle. I thought they were pressure marks and returned the item as defective.

I went to an Apple Store in Korea and they told me that it's not covered under Applecare... since by giving me a new display, it could have the same problems.

*sigh* What the hell?
