Orange UK - no microsim for current customers

Can we confirm this? I'm getting my iphone on thursday and worried that I wont have a contract. I'm stuck in a 18 monther.

Also could I cut down my sim card for the iphone 4?
 
Off topic question but do orange just let your contract roll over after it's up or do you have to sign again else they cut you off?

I would think every carrier will have micro sims for the iPhone 4 launch!

Pretty much everyone else has been talking about cutting down their SIM on the UK iPhone4 thread - worth checking over there
 
Cut you off.

I rung them up and they said you have to be eligible for an upgrade to get a microsim. Or get a new contract. I pay 60 a month its out ragous, why I cant get one!

02 just let you tick over until you ring them!
 
I have the same issues with orange France. I am expecting to be able to walk into the orange store with my brand new iPhone 4 on the 24th and tell them I need a microsim and I need them to transfer my details onto it. If this does not happen Im going to consider it a massive fail by both apple and orange.

No I'm 6 months into an 18 month contract, I called up to get the phone unlocked told them I was buying an iPhone 4 and could I have a micro sim.

No problems at all it should be here next week.

Thanks so much for the heads up. Gonna ring them tomorrow.
 
I think The most disheartening thing is that orange have no idea what is going on. Appele have sold us a product that we are not even sure we can activate and use the day it arrives. I know there is still 6 days to go but I didn't spend £500 quid to look at a shiny object with a picture of a USB cable and itunes on it.

That is so true. It is disheartening, because we've waited so long and for orange to sh*t on us. It's terrible.
