Does anyone know how long new products show up at the retail stores? I'm wondering if it may be faster if I order it online.

Thanks for the advice! I went to the store and was told it would likely be faster if I ordered online.

Get it online, I ordered my 2.53 yesterday evening and it has shipped and I ordered a 2.26 this morning and it is prepared for shipping.

OKC apple store estimates first in 4-5 days from today.

I'd wait just a bit to see if anyone has issues with theirs first. I've got an old school mac friend whose favorite saying is the first mac commandment: Thou shalt NOT buy a version A.

I like actually going into the store, even though it's a little over an hours drive, because I enjoy going in, purchasing it, and getting my hands on it right at that moment.

If you want to customize it you can only do that online right? Cause I was thinking of upgrading the hdd to 250 GB and the memory to 4 GB on the entry level 13'' macbook pro

According to the Apple Store in my area, upgrading the RAM is the only thing they can do in store. In other words, you would have to hope they have the MBP that you want (including the 250 GB HD) in stock and then order the RAM upgrade. Otherwise, you're right - you have to order online.
