When you order online with a credit card does Apple charge your card immediately or when the phone ships?

Also good to see my total was only $214.42. Was anybody charged more for the full price and not the subsidized price after you ordered?

I'm somebody has already ordered. Were you charged more for tax after you got your invoice?

When you place an online order, Apple verifies with your credit card company that the funds are present to complete the transaction. This is why you might see that your available funds have decreased. However, it is still a pending transaction, and your balance on the card should not have increased.

When the phone ships, Apple will be paid by the CC company and you will officially be charged for the transaction.

I believe it is possible for the tax to change slightly. They list "estimated tax" when you place your order.
