Order iphone4 from att and apple?

So i was wondering, if i were to order, (which the system is allowing me to) a phone for delivery from att, and then one from apple, this way, i ensure i get one on the 24th in case they screw up, then i can just return the extra phone. Does that seem like a logical (but overkilled) plan?
