Order of photo directories from windows (XP)

I set up my neighbors apple tv (converting one neighbor at a time) to sync her 'my photos' directory with the apple tv. No problem there, all directories and pictures are showing. The problem I'm having, and can't seem to find an answer, is how to get all the directories in numerical order. They are all dated and and start with the year (2001, 2002 ... etc). On the apple tv, they are all mixed up with no rhyme or reason. I'd hate to have to move them all, sync, then move them back and sync again. Even with a network cable 20,000 pictures takes a long time.

Any suggestions?
