Hey all,

I am running a (2008) Mac Pro with four graphics cards.

Slot 1 - ATI 5770 w/ two video projectors
Slot 2 - Nvidia GT 120 w/ two projectors
Slot 3 - Nvidia GT 120 w/ one projector
Slot 4 - Nvidia GT 120 w/ one projector and main display (LCD monitor)

The issue I am having is that each time we start up the tower, it *seems* to recognize the various displays in a different order and assigns them different display numbers. It does remember the orientation, and which one is the main display, but it seems to assign the numbers randomly.

This is an issue because the program we are using to control the setup, Qlab, puts the projectors in the patch preferences in the order assigned by the Mac Pro at startup. That means that they are appearing in a different order each time, and requires us to repatch differently each time.

Does anyone know if there is a way to determine what order the Mac Pro is going to recognize the various displays connected, or, if not, to change those display numbers after it has started up?

thanks,

Stephen
