"Order Placed"?

So I ordered the iPhone X 256GB through the Apple Upgrade Program and got a 11/3 delivery date, great! But it is still stuck at "Order Placed" even though I got a confirmation email and my loan got approved. Is that normal? Shouldn't it quickly go to "Order in progress"?

So maybe people who bought the iPhone outright is processing faster as it's bought outright....

Nah, mine just went to in progress like 30 mins ago and I was able to cancel from there. Not sure what the timing is, but mine was not a paid in full deal
 
So mine still says "order placed" too.

I payed outright and have a Nov 3rd pick up date at an Apple Store.

Do all the in-store pick up orders say order placed until the phone is ready for pick up on a Friday? Or does anyone who chose the pick up option have a status of order processing?

I am picking up instore next friday and mine still says "order placed". I am sure they will all be processed in time. Its reassuring to hear that others are in the same boat and that I am not an oddity.
 
So i placed an order about 10 minutes after the preorders opened on Apples website. Got a ship date of 11/17-11/24. After reading that AT&T still had them for delivery on release date, i went over and placed another order. Just got the second confirmation email from AT&T that my silver 256 GB will arrive on 11/3. AT&T really came through this time, which is surprising cause Apple has always been good in the past.
 
Mine says "Order in Progress" I assume "Order Placed" comes after that? I got my loan approval as well, but they have not charged my card yet.
 
It should be in "order is processing" for a while until it goes into "preparing for shipment," correct?
 
Oh wait, mine actually says "order in progress." Is that the same as "order is processing"?

My Apple Pay is showing the charge in the full amount, but it hasn't been posted to the card that's linked to it. It may just be an authorization. If they charged your card already, you should be getting a shipping notification very soon.

for me, it came off my debit card (which is what i used via ApplePay)..

about 3 hrs ago
 
Mine is supposed to be delivered Nov 17 - Nov 24, and it's already changed to "Order in Progress", I also received an email with my installment agreement from AT&T.

I hate that I have to wait that long to have it in my hands :(
 
Wonder where they will come from. In past years once you got a tracking number you could follow them all the way from China
