So, my 128GB Black 7+ through Apple.com (started trying at 2:59am and completed at 3:11am EST) is already to "Order Processing", but my delivery date is 9/27-9/29. Of all the preorders I've ever done, I've always had an estimated delivery of launch day. Who has gotten their phone on launch day while having a later estimated delivery date? Sold my 6S Plus before prices dropped, so I'm rocking a 5 until my new one comes in  I'm trying to decide whether I should cancel and just stand in line or try Best Buy's pre-order.

I hear it's a crapshoot ordering through best buy

It always has been. I would normally prefer to buy from them for the rewardzone points, but they are horribly unreliable for launch day stock. They don't really do guaranteed pre-orders, if you do it, they just print everyone's order out and keep them in the mobile department in a stack, and whenever they get sporadic shipments of phones, they go through the stack calling people. It could be over a month until your "day one" pre-order comes in.

I wonder if it's any different if I had it shipped to me instead of picking up?

I ordered my 128GB Black 7+ at 12:05 and have a 9/16 date and it's processing

I was a bit late ordering my 6 and had a non-launch day confirmation, yet received it on day 1... As Apple do try to meet or better their delivery targets, I'd say you're in with a chance!

iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black 256GB T-Mobile, After preordering at 3:07am (ET), Going through checkout said September 26, but when the order was placed it said October 4-10. Woke up this morning, order now says processing, not holding my breath but would love to get it earlier.
