I ordered a 40mm S6 for my wife for Christmas back in early November. After a couple of weeks of checking status, it finally showed as shipped. However, before leaving China, it stopped moving stating there was an issue. After a few more days, my order showed that a replacement watch build was "in progress". Odd but it seemed the first one was lost/missing.

Fast forward another 2 weeks and the replacement shipped and I received it this past Friday. The order page shows delivered and my Apple Card was charged the $399 + AC+.

Well, yesterday (Saturday), UPS tosses a package on my porch. It is another watch! When I check my order page, it still shows the original moved from China to Korea last week and has not moved from there since, yet I have (2) Apple Watches and have been billed once (so far).

I reached out to Apple through chat and the best answer I can get is give it a few days to see if the original watch changes status from Korea to delivered (I am in USA). And once it does, I will get billed for it. Once billed and the status is updated, I can contact them back to arrange for a return of the one of them. It seems I can not return it until it shows delivered and I have been billed.

This is a very odd situation in the 11 years of dealing with Apple.

edit: What if it never changes status?

I know someone that ordered 1 iPad keyboard and got a box with 10. They called Apple and returned 9 but that was weird that they mixed an order like that. They were not even surprised as “this happens sometimes”

This happened actually I think last year to another member, where they received two watches. And I think if I recall correctly, Apple actually charged them for the second watch, being they did not return it once Apple figured it out. So all in all, it only would behoove you to be honest in a situation like this.
