Ordered a white 16 GB WiFi from B&H and it shipped the next day!

I've had an order in on J&R for almost three weeks now and it's still backordered. I called up B&H last night and they said it would take weeks, but I decided to go for it anyway (even though they charge your card immediately, unlike J&R).

I was pretty shocked when the order status changed to "sent to warehouse" right after I called, and even more shocked so get a shipping notification less than 24 hours later!

I guess this either means B&H is getting a lot of units from Apple, or that the shortage is over. Either way, you should definitely give them a shot if you're still waiting for a backorder.

I highly recommend you place an order with B&H, they seem to be shipping faster. You can always cancel.

In a lot of places, the shortage is easing. Our local Apple store has iPads in stock most of the day and are getting more and more e ery day to sell the next.
