Ordered an iPad. Time to poke MR's brains...

Just a few quick questions.

1. How often do you need more than the iPad when you are using it on the go? ie When do you wish you had brought laptop of some kind instead of your iPad with you going out?
2. How many of you (if any) use iPad for school note taking and class participation in general? Any strengths or weaknesses you can comment on in this area?
3. Are there any methods of using iPad as an external screen without jailbreaking?
4. Lastly, is it possible to sync HD media to the iPad at the current time? (720p or 1080p?)

I can say i have never felt I needed my MacBook pro while on the run with the iPad. The rest I'm not sure about, I think you need to JB to use as a screen.
