been searching on the Audioengine A2. they look for very nice! but the price is steep at 200$

what else guys?

Dell has a speakerbar for the UltraSharp monitors, which attaches underneath the screen.

But that's supposedly not what you're looking for, so the Bose Companion 2 Series I or Series II might be more your thing.

I highly recommend something with a subwoofer.

Look at Klipsch Promedia 2.1 or Logitech Z623 as excellent desktop sound systems.

A2's are worth every penny

Avoid silly gimmicky companies like Logitech and Creative.

The Audioengine A2's are excellent compact speakers. The Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system is also a good option if you have the room for a sub, also, take a look at the Swan D1080MKII 08's.

:)

I got a pair of Sony SS-B1000 bookshelf speakers and an amp off of Amazon for around $80. Probably not quite as good as the Audioengines but I'm pretty happy considering what I paid.

i got the creative T20 recently and i'm very pleased, great speakers and great quality for about 80$-90$

klipsch are good and so are the swan m10s .. used to have both but dont have room for a sub so I just bought B&W mm-1s .. cant wait to get them

I recently purchased the Audioengine A5's and they are great speakers for the money. I know they are probably a bit out of your price range, though. If the A2's are anywhere near as good, I would grab them.
