So i know for a fact i will not be at the house on the 19th, but will be on the 20th. Are we able to have them deliver it and leave it in a lockbox? (townhouse lockbox's)

If not, do you know if Apple will call the carrier and authorize an alternate pickup location?

Signature is required for the delivery. When its ready for delivery call the shipping company and see if you can pick it up at the distribution center.

you will probably have to call whichever carrier is delivering your iPhone to see if you can leave it elsewhere but I can almost guarantee they'll deny it and require a signature, no exceptions (especially for the iPhone release).

best possible way is to see if you can pre-sign through your apple ID once it ships.

I usually have them hold it at the nearest FedEx/UPS location and just go pick it up after work.

man, oh man, i did this with the iphone 5, and it was another line and some-hour wait before i was able to pick up my box. i'm getting too old for these iphone launches.
