ordered, leaving fri, shipping question...

Hey all... I ordered 2 phones today and have a quick question. I am hoping to get the 4S for my wife and myself Friday before we take a quick road trip for the weekend.
Does anybody know if it is possible to have UPS/FEDEX hold the shipment at their place for you to pick it up before it goes out for delivery? Please let me know if any of you have done this in the past! Thanks!!!

From what i can remember, UPS only lets you hold it after they make the first delivery attempt. You basically call in once they leave the "info notice" on your door saying they attempted delivery.

As for fedex, IIRC, when i ordered my iPad, i had the choice after it shipped to have it held. i think the link was right on the tracking page to do that.
