Just ordered it a second ago! White MacBook 2.0GHz, 120GB HDD, 1GB memory, combo drive.

I'm stoked.

Congrats! Is this your first Mac?

*you know, I never get tired of happy posters saying they just ordered things. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Good still exists in the world*

Yep, it's my first. I'm posting this from some random 2005-era Compaq desktop with 512MB or RAM shared between two people, so it should be a very nice change.

Congrats. I had to send mine back cuz of a problem but the customer service was excellent and I should have it back in a week. I must say it was an amazing machine, cannot wait for mine to be back.

I'm on day five of my BlackBook and I'm loving it. RAM came today from Crucial so she's smokin'. I'm really happy with the portability, magnetic latch, core 2 duo and the super cool keyboard. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine. Congrats. T

some tips:

1. keep your hands clean, else your macbook get dirty.

2. close your lid slowly and gently, else you get cracked macbook.

3. double check that every seam is properly tight, else your macbook falleth apart prematurely.

oh, and make sure the lid closes flush. i mean see that the lid is on squarely when you close it, and that it's not sticking out on either the right or left side.

Congrats on the purchase! I haven't even purchased mine yet and I've already bought the Speck SeeThru Clear case. Also a wrist pad, button pad, and a cover for the track pad. I'm very picky with my Apple branded toys. Enjoy your new toy!

What do you mean by wrist pad, button pad and cover for track pad?
Any links? I may also want to order such protectors for mine!

Well, everybody has to start somewhere...... Of course, spec-wise, your compaq that's shared between 2 people is prbably nicer than 95% of my Macs...

I had a very hard time deciding between the MacBook Air and a regular MacBook. In the end, I chose the MacBook. Bought the black model last Friday and love it.

I figured I'd be carrying around the external optical drive and ethernet dongle constantly with the MacBook Air, pretty much eliminating any weight savings. Plus, its not uncommon that I need to plug into the ethernet network at work and also use a USB flash drive at the same time. So, in the end, I though the standard MacBook was a better fit for me. I used to have a MacBook Pro, which I've given to my wife. The MBP was too large (for me) to be easily portable; I find the size of the MacBook much better for daily back and forth to work (and to carry around at work).

I ordered mine on the 28th Jan, shipped on 30th del 12th Feb. Today when I checked the tracking it said delivered by the 5th (that was yesterday) and assigned carrier is UK distribution centre, so at least it is in the UK, well I hope it is. The tracking yesterday said the 12th for del. So bizarre:confused:
