$499 which was a little high but did it anyway.

I am impressed with the lack of heat in comparison with my 2.8Ghz MBPro 15.

I would think the lack of heat would mean the battery will last at least as long with the i7:rolleyes:

Isn't it only $400 to upgrade with Apple to 8gb?

Interesting. What are you going to do with the memory that came with the laptop?

its $400 to UPGRADE to 8GB, the OP spent $500 to get an ADDITIONAL 8GB, thats the difference. Maybe he has use for the 4GB that came with it or can sell it for more than $100.
 
In the past, some companies claimed that they developed new technologies so that their RAMs were able to perform faster than the standard ones (used by Apple)? Is it possible? Can the RAM made by Crucial performs better than the one used by Apple?
