Ordered the Iphone 8 space gray, worry about the paint

Hi,

I just ordered a Iphone 8 space gray last night. I just noticed that the aluminium is painted and lot of people seem to be complaining about paint chipping on their Iphone 7 black. I always use the Apple leather case on my phone, so I'm unsure if it can still be an issue (mostly around the speaker grill).

The silver one have a white face, and I don't like white face. I'm really wondering if I should cancel my order now.

The iPhone 8 has a glass back, so the finish won't chip. If anything, the glass back could scratch, but if you're careful I don't envision this being too much of an issue.

I'm more worry about the side (edge) of the phone.

Space gray always wore well that's why they use it now more often than black. Blemishes rarely are visible if they're there at all.

The iPhone is a device not some work of art to be placed in some technology gallery in your home.

Get the phone color you want and use the phone as the device that it is. If the phone were to get a scratch (or several) it won't stop working.
