Does someone have the exact URL to go to on Friday to order the 5s? And is it suggested waiting until exactly 12:01 before going to the store or do we think it will be possible to get to the URL sooner?

Whenever I order online I usually get ready 10 mins in advance and I refresh every couple mins until it goes live. Just go to store.apple.com and you'll be fine.
Sometimes it does not start at EXACTLY 12:01am.

Email I got from Apple, states in store from 8am or online from 2AM AEST, for Australian orders
Agree with this. Last year I called in at 3 AM East coast time, but those who lived at the West end of the USA got lucky, and did not have to get up at an un-godly hour to make the purchase.
As I recall, the problem was not the Apple site. Problems occurred when the Apple site tried to connect to the carrier site to determine upgrade eligibility. The carrier, in my case ATT, was overwhelmed and the requests timed out.
Eventually, I had to visit a local ATT store and they took my order manually because their systems were so slow.
Just monitor this forum. When it goes live this place will light up like a Christmas tree

Uh, I'm sure with the farm and all its cool, but I don't have exactly fond memories of a first iPhone online ordering experience.
