If I order the iPhone X for someone else via the Apple Store app, does the device get "binded" to my Apple ID? Is it possible to transfer it to the actual owner's Apple ID or does it even matter? I'm speaking about the European Apple Store and the iPhone would be without carrier, paid totally & directly by CC.

It used to be tied to your Apple ID through a thing called the Support Profile. But that doesn't happen anymore. Indeed when it did exist it didn't matter anyway. These days everything is linked to the iCloud account that the iPhone is logged in to. So you can give it to someone else without having to do anything.

That iPhone will not be binded to any Apple ID until the phone is turned on and the user proceeds with the initial iPhone set up while also signing in to his/her Apple ID. The only part of the phone that will be tied to you is the receipt.

This used to happen back in the iPhone 3GS days, these days you just login however you want to. Basically everything is separate.

There is an order limit of 2 right? So if you buy for someone else you took up 1 slot for the life of the account.
